Ford Jan. 26 said it is recalling about 425,300 Windstar minivans in cold-climate states to address a corrosion-related problem affecting brackets and mounts that could lead to separation of the steering shaft from the lower control arm.
A separation of both front subframe rear body mounts may result in separation of the steering intermediate shaft, which could result in reduced steering ability, the agency said (NHTSA Recall #11V-030).
