Footballer’s Suit Over Failure to Sign Gets Removed (Correct)

Canadian Football League team the B.C. Lions will defend in California federal court claims that it damaged the career of wide receiver Tim Lukas by falsely representing it would sign him to play for the organization.

The club removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California Tuesday, citing federal diversity jurisdiction over actions between suits between U.S. citizens and citizens of countries outside the U.S.
