Fisher-Price Agrees to $19 Million Infant Sleeper Settlement

Mattel Inc. and its infant toy unit Fisher-Price Inc. agreed to pay $19 million to settle consolidated litigation in which consumers alleged they overpaid for recalled Rock ‘n Play Sleepers.

Purchasers of the sleeper or those who received the product as a gift will be eligible for up to the full price of the product, depending on when it was bought, according to the settlement agreement and a motion for preliminary approval, both filed July 24 in the US District Court for the Western District of New York.
