Fiat Chrysler Hit With Suit Over Aluminum Jeep Body Parts

FCA US LLC is facing a proposed consumer class action in Michigan federal court alleging that the company used aluminum body panels that are prone to corrosion in certain Jeep models.

The named plaintiffs, Domingo Orozco, Irma Orozco, Mark Bordelon and Antoine Louvat, seek to pursue claims on behalf of the owners and lessees of 2018-2021 Jeep Wranglers and 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiators.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on Dec. 3, alleges the company made “false and deceptive representations” about the models.
