In just over a year, restaurants, supermarkets and movie theater chains will have to post calorie counts and other nutrition information on their menus, pursuant to final guidance released by the Food and Drug Administration.
The guidance, released April 29, outlines compliance for menu labeling regulations finalized last year, and sets an effective date of one year after publication in the Federal Register. A publication date hasn’t been set but is likely to be in May, the FDA said.
