FCA Sued Over Plug-In Hybrid Vans’ Alleged Explosion Risk

Owners of Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid minivans overpaid for their fire- and explosion-prone vehicles and suffered other economic losses, a consumer says in a new proposed class suit against FCA US LLC.

The vans were the subject of a recent Fiat Chrysler recall that doesn’t yet identify the cause or offer a remedy, Rodrigo Nieto Gomez says in his complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
