FCA Issues ‘Do Not Drive’ After 26th Takata Rupture Death: DOT

An exploding passenger-side air bag inflator in a recalled 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 has caused the 26th Takata rupture fatality in the US, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

• Owners of affected vehicles urged not to drive them until air bag is replaced
• Estimates about 84,000 of the recalled 385,686 Dodge Rams remain unrepaired
