FCA Faces Trial Over 3-Year-Old’s Strangling in Minivan Window

Parents may proceed to trial against FCA US LLC over their young child’s asphyxiation because their evidence sufficiently counters the automaker’s security footage pointing to another cause, a federal court in Michigan ruled.

A jury could find in the family’s favor “without engaging in impermissible conjecture or speculation,” Judge Bernard A. Friedman said Wednesday for the U.S. District Court for the District of Michigan.
