A former IT employee is sanctioned after running a data destruction program on a former work laptop and destroying more than 50,000 potentially relevant files, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey held Aug. 30 in an unpublished opinion (Lexpath Techs. Holdings, Inc. v. Welch, 2016 BL 282962, D.N.J., 13-cv-5379-PGS-LHG, 8/30/16).
