Dow Chemical, Shell Settle Dole’s Water Contamination Suit (1)

Dole Packaged Foods LLC has settled claims that Dow Chemical Co. and Shell USA Inc., formerly known as Shell Oil Co., contaminated the drinking water at its Atwater, Calif., plant with the chemical 1,2,3-trichloropropan.

Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald of the US District Court for the Central District of California dismissed the suit Wednesday on the stipulation of the parties.
