DJO Global in Likely Settlement Over Claimed Rehab Boot Harm

A man who sought to represent a class of rehabilitation boot users is dropping his claims against medical device maker DJO Global Inc., he told a federal court in California.

Daniel Dreifort’s filing Monday follows a ruling favorable to him and at least two rounds of settlement discussions, according to the docket of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

The parties reached an agreement in principle in March, the court said at the time.
