Diamond Sued Over Heavy Metals in Dog Foods

Diamond Pet Foods Inc. dog food products are deceptively marketed as premium despite having undisclosed heavy metals and other toxins, a new proposed class suit alleges.

Constance Jackson and Gwen Kaszynski say they bought Diamond’s “Taste of the Wild” dog foods based on labels that said the products offer the “best nutrition available today” as “nature intended.”

But testing showed the presence of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, as well as the endocrine disruptor Bisphenol A and other harmful ingredients, according to the suit filed Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ...
