Diamond Pet Food Deception Suit Gets Trimmed but Advances

The maker of Diamond Pet Foods must continue to defend a proposed class suit alleging its dog food contains undisclosed heavy metals and other toxins.

Pennsylvanian Martin E. Grossman and Californian Richard David Classick Jr. sued Schell & Kampeter Inc. alleging the company marketed “Taste of the Wild” dog food as a premium product but failed to disclose the presence of heavy metals, BPA, pesticides, and other contaminants.

But the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California trimmed the suit.
