Delta Sued Over Alleged In-Flight Drunken Sex Assault (3)

Delta Airlines faces newly filed allegations it didn’t do enough to prevent a heavily intoxicated male passenger from sexually assaulting a woman seated next to him on a flight in June.

Delany Luh said the carrier failed to protect her, and facilitated the man’s actions by serving him vodka despite being visibly drunk.

Delta said it will vigorously fight the federal suit filed in Tennessee, which a plaintiffs’ attorney said is part of a trend.

“We are seeing more cases brought against airlines for passenger-against-passenger sexual assaults involving alcohol,” Michael Danko, of Danko Meredith in Redwood Shores, Calif., told Bloomberg ...
