Defect Claim Derided Against `Little Giant Ladder’ Maker

An injury suit contending Wing Enterprises’ Little Giant Ladder was defectively designed is in jeopardy after the Western District of Louisiana harshly criticized the plaintiff’s causation theory and rejected proposed experts on design and product warnings (Coleman v. Wing Enters.. Inc., 2015 BL 373351, W.D. La., 213-cv-0561, 11/12/15).

Judge James T. Trimble Jr. derided the plaintiff’s suit. He noted millions of Little Giant Ladders have been sold and this is the first suit against manufacturer Wing Enterprises Inc. predicated upon an alleged defective hinge mechanism.
