The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration must divulge nationwide opioid sales data to parties in federal opioid litigation, the judge overseeing the proceedings said.
DEA must produce complete sales data and reports of suspicious orders for the entire U.S. from 2006 through 2014, Judge Dan A. Polster of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said.
The May 7 order expands on an earlier one that required DEA to disclose this information for six states.
Polster oversees litigation involving hundreds of government entities that sued drugmakers and distributors, seeking to recoup costs associated with the opioid crisis.
