Danone Sued Over Evian Water ‘Carbon Neutral’ Statements (1)

Danone Waters of America Inc. deceptively markets Evian water as “carbon neutral,” a California woman alleges in a proposed class suit saying the company engages in “greenwashing” to attract environmentally conscious consumers.

Carbon neutral is technically defined as “having or resulting in no net addition of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere,” Stephanie Dorris says in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
