Cracking, Breaking Water Bottle Spouts Prompts Klean Kanteen Recall of 1.3 Million

The Consumer Products Safety Commission and Health Canada May 5 announced that Klean Kanteen is voluntarily recalling more than 1.2 million water bottles with spouts that can crack or break, posing a choking hazard to children and adults.

The Sport Cap 2.0 water bottle spouts, manufactured in China for Klean Kanteen Inc., of Chico, Calif., have been the subject of six reports of spouts breaking or cracking as children drank from the bottles. No injuries have been reported.
