While the Consumer Product Safety Commission has approved a proposed rulemaking on testing for lead and phthalates in products’ components and product testing certification, not all commissioners agreed with the new requirements, according to commissioners’ statements.
The CPSC May 5 voted to approve the proposed rulemaking required under Section 14 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.
