Costco, Manufacturer Sued Over Bursting Stainless Steel Bottles

Manufacturer Takeya USA Corp. and retailer Costco Wholesale Corp. failed to warn consumers that ThermoFlask stainless steel water bottles can burst when filled with hot liquids that cause pressure increases inside the bottle, a new suit alleges.

Though Takeya on its website warns users hot liquids can cause pressure buildups in the ThermoFlasks, Grzegorz Boduch says the warning is inadequate.
