Clarins USA Inc. will have to face a proposed class suit in the Southern District of Florida challenging efficacy representations on some of its skin care products (Garcia v. Clarins USA Inc., S.D. Fla., 14-21249, 9/5/14).
Plaintiff Elisa Garcia adequately stated a claim under Florida’s consumer protection law, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.
But the court limited the suit to the two Clarins products Garcia actually bought: Vital Light Night Revitalizing Anti-Ageing Cream and Body Lift Cellulite Control.
