ColourPop Free of Suit Claiming Deceptive Eye-Makeup Marketing

ColourPop Cosmetics LLC is free of a proposed class suit alleging it deceptively markets eye makeup products, following a judge’s ruling that the claims are preempted by federal law and the plaintiff failed to show she had suffered harm.

Kacey Wilson sued in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, alleging that ColourPop products are unsafe for use in the eye area because they contain ingredients that aren’t safe for use near the eyes.
