Class Settlement With Vendor [24]7.ai Over Data Breach Approved

Nearly 400,000 class members can receive reimbursement for a 2017 data breach that compromised the personal information of Delta Air Lines, Best Buy, Sears, and Kmart customers, a federal judge in California ruled.

The four companies contracted with [24]7.ai to provide sales software, customer service software, and voice chat agent services for sales support for online shoppers. But according to lead plaintiff Michael Ford, the company was negligent in securing customers’ data—allowing hackers to access their names, addresses, and credit card information.
