Claims Proceed over Recalled Hyland’s Teething Tablets

Standard Homeopathic Co. and its Hyland’s Inc. unit must face proposed class claims over homeopathic teething products that were pulled off the market because of safety concerns.

Plaintiffs Jennifer O’Neill and Tricia Zamfino adequately alleged the manufacturer violated New York’s consumer protection law by making Hyland’s Baby Teething Tablets appear to be safe, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said.

Hyland’s marketed the product by saying it “make[s] nights bearable, days livable, and truly make[s] the teething years way more groovy,” the court said.
