Charles Schwab Users’ Claims Over Trading Bug Greenlighted (1)

Charles Schwab & Co. must face breach of contract claims in a proposed class action over an alleged bug in its online stock trading platform after the Northern District of California found a disputed fact as to whether the named plaintiff adequately notified the company of the glitch.

The court, however, dismissed Robert Wright’s claims under California’s Unfair Competition Law and for breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
