Carnival Corp. Hit with Zip-Line Lawsuit (1)

Carnival Corp. is liable for a cruise ship passenger’s injuries at an onshore zip-line excursion, a federal lawsuit alleges.

The May 15 complaint is part of a trend in which plaintiffs say cruise ship lines are responsible for excursions they tout as part of the cruise ship experience.

Karen Burney alleges her leg was severely injured in 2017 when employees of Clip N Zip Canopy Tours, a foreign corporation operating a zip-line tour at Mahogany Bay in Honduras, failed to warn her to apply a brake on the ride.
