Camp Pendleton Residents’ Toxic Mold Suit Tossed

Former residents at Camp Pendleton Marine Base in San Diego can’t proceed with a suit against the owner and operator of housing on the base for toxic mold contamination, after the Southern District of California found the claims are “too broad and conclusory.”

An active duty service member in the U.S. Navy and his family alleged that the defendants—Camp Pendleton & Quantico Housing LLC, Lincoln Military Property Management LP, and LPC Pendleton Quantico PM LP—allowed toxic black mold to grow on the property occupied by the family, which caused the children to develop serious illnesses.
