Boston Scientific Narrows Negligence Lawsuit Over Pelvic Mesh

A woman who says Boston Scientific Corp.'s Obtryx pelvic mesh caused injuries can partially proceed with a negligence claim related to the device’s marketing, a federal court said.

The negligent misrepresentation claim can proceed to the extent that it is limited to Regina Oesterle’s economic losses, not compensatory damages, the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said Tuesday.
