BSH Home Appliances Corp., the company behind the Bosch brand, got final court approval for a $2 million deal to settle consumer claims some of its microwaves contained defective displays.
Judge Richard A. Jones of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington granted final approval of the deal and certified a two-tier consumer class Thursday.
The settlement will resolve claims certain Bosch microwaves had vacuum fluorescent display control panels that dimmed or completely failed because of improper current regulation.
