BodyArmor Sports Drink Is ‘Camouflaged Junk Food,’ Suit Says

BA Sports Nutrition LLC deceptively markets its “BodyArmor SuperDrink” products as providing superior hydration for everyone, even though they are loaded with sugar and don’t offer better hydration than water or other drinks, a new lawsuit alleges.

The company also deceptively touts BodyArmor as packed with essential vitamins and nutrients, Marc Silver and three others allege on behalf of a proposed class.

BA Sports Nutrition targets members of the general public with its deceptive “health halo” marketing claims, but BodyArmor SuperDrink is “effectively camouflaged junk food for them,” the plaintiffs allege.
