Blue Buffalo Dog Food Marketing Allegedly Hides Fattening Carbs

Blue Buffalo Co. deceptively markets its “Blue Wilderness” dog food as inspired by the diet of wolves, a Jan. 1 suit in the Southern District of New York alleges.

The Blue Wilderness packaging prominently displays an image of a grey wolf and promotes the products as “Nature’s Evolutionary Diet,” New York dog owner Shannon Walton alleges.

But Blue Wilderness products contain undisclosed high levels of dietary carbohydrates, which are making American dogs overweight and weren’t a meaningful part of the wolves’ diet, the suit alleges.
