The University of California, Berkeley won dismissal of sex discrimination claims by a women’s soccer player who alleges a coach was abusive and that she and five other qualified players were released from the team.
The fact that only one player was released from the school’s men’s soccer team at the same time doesn’t show that the men’s and women’s players were treated unequally, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said, dismissing the claims brought by student athlete Renee Thomas.
