Bayer Agrees to Pay Consumers Up to $45 Million Over Roundup (1)

Bayer AG has agreed to spend between $23 million and $45 million to settle class claims that Roundup weedkiller purchasers overpaid because the product lacked cancer warnings, and the deal merits preliminary approval, consumers told a federal court in California.

The final amount of the settlement will depend on the claims submitted, Scott Gilmore and other would-be class representatives said Thursday in their filing in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The court oversees consolidated federal litigation over Roundup, including personal injury suits.
