Barlean’s Organic Oils LLC and purchasers who said it deceptively portrayed high-saturated fat coconut oils as healthful secured final approval for a $1.6 million class settlement.
The plaintiffs’ lawyers were awarded their requested $537,500 in fees and roughly $159,000 in litigation costs on Monday by Judge Ruth Bermudez Montenegro of the US District Court for the Southern District of California.
