Aramark Settles Ex-Prisoner’s Lawsuit Over Dish Detergent Burn

Aramark Food Services Corp. and one of its employees, a prison kitchen supervisor, settled a former inmate’s claims that he was denied protective gloves for handling dishwasher detergent, according to a filing in federal court in West Virginia.

The settlement follows rulings allowing claims to proceed against Aramark and the supervisor, Norma C. Hebb. Its terms weren’t disclosed in the parties’ request for dismissal, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Judge Irene C. Berger signed the dismissal order.
