Apple Gets Most iPhone Audio Claims Trimmed in Consumer Suit

Consumers may proceed with some warranty claims against Apple Inc. over alleged audio defects in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices, but they didn’t adequately allege other warranty or fraud-based claims, a federal court in California ruled.

The would-be class representatives may also pursue alternative remedies for now, in lieu of an unjust enrichment claim, and may re-plead their dismissed claims, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said Thursday.
