Apple Deceptively Sold iPhone XR With Poor Antenna, Suit Says

Apple Inc. failed to disclose that the iPhone XR was equipped with an inferior antenna that causes connectivity problems such as slow download speeds and dropped calls, according to a suit filed Tuesday in federal court in California.

Unbeknownst to consumers, Apple equipped the iPhone XR with a 2x2 MIMO antenna array, which isn’t as good as the 4x4 MIMO array in phones such as the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max, Robert Altmann and others allege in a proposed class suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
