Apple Class Certified in iCloud Storage Contract Breach Suit

Apple Inc. must face a class of consumers who alleged it breached the iCloud agreement by storing their data on third-party servers rather than Apple’s servers, a California federal court said.

But the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California shortened the time period for the class of consumers seeking damages. It also declined to certify a class of those seeking injunctive relief, saying the plaintiffs didn’t explain why such class status was warranted.
