Anti-Bloating Enzyme Supplements Don’t Work, Class Action Says

Zenwise LLC deceptively advertises health supplements that purport to have fast-acting digestive enzymes and promise to reduce bloating, a proposed class action complaint alleges.

“Zenwise’s promises to quickly get rid of gas and bloating are not true” because the advertised benefits are impossible to achieve, the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California says. “There is no known product or ingredient in the scientific literature that has been shown to completely eliminate bloating.”

The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
