Amazon Sued by ProHitter Maker Over Alleged Counterfeit Sales

Pro-Hitter Corp. sued Amazon.com Inc. in Manhattan federal court for allegedly selling counterfeits of its ProHitter baseball batting aid through Amazon services for used and third-party goods.

The ProHitter is worn on a batter’s thumb to improve grip technique and reduce sting, and Pro-Hitter—the company—says the product is used by the “overwhelming majority of Major League Baseball players.”
