Amazon, Instant Pot Maker to Settle Child’s Burn Injury Claims

Instant Brands Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. have reached an agreement with a Colorado family to settle a lawsuit alleging that an Instant Pot cooker spewed scalding soup onto a girl, according to documents filed in federal court in the state.

The terms of the deal, which must be approved by a probate court because a minor is involved, are confidential.

Instant Brands, which makes the popular multifunction cooking appliance, faces at least 15 other personal injury actions, according to a Bloomberg Law analysis.
