Amazon Appears to Settle 3d Cir. Case Over Dog Collar Injury (1)

Amazon.com Inc. and a Pennsylvania couple have resolved a high-profile case over injuries blamed on a snapped pet collar sold through the company’s web marketplace and are agreeing to dismiss it, they told the Third Circuit Wednesday.

The appeals court sent the issue of Amazon’s potential liability as a “seller” under state law to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. It’s unclear whether that court, which took the case in July, will need to drop its consideration as well.
