Advanced Micro Devices $12.1 Million CPU Class Deal Approved

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and California consumers won the Northern District of California’s final approval for a $12.1 million class settlement in a suit alleging the company misrepresented the speed of core processors in its “Bulldozer” central processing units.

And class counsel got its $3 million fee request approved, as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California found the award justified both as a percentage of the settlement fund and based on the attorneys’ time and hourly rates.
