The maker of Acure repairing shampoo and conditioner deceives consumers into thinking the products can improve hair health, a proposed class suit says (Morales v. Better Planet Brands LLC, S.D.N.Y., complaint filed 8/15/16).
Better Planet Brands LLC, doing business as Acure Organics, says its shampoo formula “performs hair repair with serious flair,” New Yorker Jocelyn Morales alleges in her Aug. 15 suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The products claim to be “clinically proven” to do “triple action repairing,” the suit says.
