$6.5M Nestle Purina Settlement Over Dog Treats Gets Early Approval

A $6.5 million class settlement that would resolve allegations that chicken jerky pet treats made by Nestle Purina and Waggin’ Train caused some dogs to become ill and, in some cases, die has received preliminary approval from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Adkins v. Nestle Purina Petcare Co., N.D. Ill., 1:12-cv-02871, 10/2/14).

The settlement agreement was filed May 30 and includes attorneys’ fees of up to $2.145 million 15 CLASS 629, 6/13/14, 42 PSLR 609, 6/16/14.
