A $14 million settlement resolving a consumer class action stemming from the recall of weight loss supplement Hydroxycut won final approval Nov. 18 (In re Hydroxycut Mktg. & Sales Practices Litig. (Dremak v. Iovate Health Scis. Grp.), 2014 BL 325011, S.D. Cal., 09-md-2087, final approval granted 11/18/14

Judge Barry Ted Moskowitz of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California signed off on the agreement, under which supplement maker Iovate Health Sciences Group agreed not to oppose an attorneys’ fee award of up to $3.5 million for plaintiffs’ counsel.
