White & Case advised California-based industrial-focused private equity firm Sole Source Capital LLC on a portfolio company’s acquisition of Miles Data Technologies, a supply chain operations technology company, the law firm said Tuesday.

The portfolio company, Oakdale, Minn.-based Supply Chain Services, provides automatic identification and data capture and factory automation solutions to about 3,000 North American customers, according to a Sole Source statement. It was acquired back in May by Sole Source. Waukesha, Wis-based Miles Data sells bar code, radio frequency ID, and mobility solutions to about 2,000 North American customers.

Miles Data’s current CEO, Robert Ladd, will continue to oversee the business in his new role of executive vice president, working directly with Supply Chain Services CEO Dave Green, according to the statement.

Green said the two companies will “leverage our complementary product and service offerings to capitalize on the growing opportunity in the technology-based supply chain solutions space and continue to help our customers operate better across North America.”

No financial terms for the transaction were disclosed.
