Wealthy Brazilian Family Eyes $1 Billion in US Property Deals

Votorantim SA, owned by one of Brazil’s wealthiest families, plans to boost its real estate assets in the US to nearly $1 billion in five years.

The holding company, controlled by the Ermirio de Moraes family, began pushing into US real estate in 2023, with its property business called Altre Empreendimentos e Investimentos Imobiliarios SA, seeking to seize on the dislocation of prices coming out of the pandemic.
