Thoma Bravo Said to Near $2 Billion Deal for Verint Systems (1)

Buyout firm Thoma Bravo is nearing a deal to acquire call center software maker Verint Systems Inc., according to people familiar with the matter.

The deal would value Verint at about $2 billion, including debt, said the people, who asked to not be identified discussing private information. An agreement could be announced as soon as Monday, the people said. No final decision has been made and discussions could fall through or the timing or terms could change, the people added. Bloomberg News reported in July that the two were in talks.
