TD Senior Economist DePratto to Leave for Private Equity Firm

Toronto-Dominion Bank Senior Economist Brian DePratto is leaving the Canadian lender after six years for a private equity firm, according to a person familiar with the move.

DePratto, 37, is joining Venterra Realty, a firm that manages $2.8 billion in multi-family real estate assets with its main operations in Houston, according to the person, who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly and asked not to be identified. Thursday will be DePratto’s last day at Toronto-Dominion, where he’s a director on the macroeconomic analysis team that produces Canada growth forecasts and other research on the domestic economy.
